IAFP One-Day Seminar
The Box Set Mindset: The Forensics of Popular Culture
Saturday 28th November 2015
The Wesley Centre, London NW1 2EZ
£75 (discounts available for members of the IAFP, Media and the Inner World, and for students)
Representations of crime and criminal behaviour have long been central to the history of popular culture and now seem to dominate the landscape of the popular cultural imagination. In recent years, there has been an explosion of interest in the long-form television series that grapple with forensic dilemmas involving gangster and mafia groups, murderers, drug barons and corrupt political figures and organisations.
In association with the universities of Bournemouth and Roehampton, this conference brings together members of the IAFP and the Media and the Inner World research network to explore the psycho-cultural appeal of well-known television dramas in which forensic themes play a key narrative role. Throughout the day, an exciting programme of panels and discussion groups will address a number of key questions. Please join us!
